Energy Saver Problem - NO HD spind down in OS X 10.1.1

Dear Mac friends,

Since Mac OS 10.1.1 the HD does not do a spin down after the set of preferences in the Energy Saver panel. I can only do a manual Sleep, which is quite frankly not enough to satisfy my needs ;) - I have checked for services that should block this to the best of my knowledge.

Let me know of any hints you got to the solution to this problem.

Dittriech worote about a similar problem on macosxhints http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20011211111946248 , but I found nothing at Apple TIL. Anyhow I could not solve the problem with his answer.

Best regards and a happy new year, Thomas

Do you have Office v.X installed? On mine, it will not sleep whenever the Database Daemon is running.

I only have the Demo of MS Word for X installed of the Office v.X. (But I have the old MS Office 2001 for Classic installed). What is the exact name for the Database Daemon? Db!?

Best regards, Thomas

Btw Energy Saver and HD spin down works fine when booted and run in the classic environment only.
