My mate has got a G3 Powerbook running on OS10.2 and it won't come out of the sleep state. I've heard this was quite a common problem with OSX but haven't been able to find a solution for him.
He's lost his internet access as a result, hence my posting for him.

I don't think it's common at all but...
Tell him to try holding down the power button for several seconds. Chances are, it should bong back into life.

I was for me. Until I swopped some ram out, then most of my wake crashes went away.
