I haven't used my PB 3400 for about a year and recently tried to use it again for OS 9 stuff. Apparently the PRAM battery has gone as I'm loosing the date and experience strange behaviour with start and sleep after setting the date manually. So I left the date alone and switched off all energy saving options using AC anyway. In fact, the behaviour now is quite normal.
I'm thinking about replacement of the battery, but it seems not necessary for future sporadic use of the PB. I don't care for the date since I don't have relevant documents on the PB. Perhaps I should even disconnect the battery. Any ideas?
