I have a 12" G4 PowerBook, recently the US style folding mains plug on the power adapter failed. It makes intermittent contact and arcs internally. I have the cord style mains plug that I can use the adapter for now but I would like to replace this folding plug. I looked over the Apple store and found they have US $39 kit with different foreign plugs include a US style replacement. I really don't need these other plugs and was hoping get just the one plug.

Is this available from the Apple store or other suppliers ? Thanks for the help.

I think they are a fire hazard when they are arcing internally. I suggest you call Apple and pitchabitch. I have had 3-4 of these fail as you describe. In my case, they have been less than a year old and they just sent another free...

Thank for your note, this got me off my duff to do something. I called Apple and was informed that AppleCare doesn't cover this so it cost but wasn't too expensive.
