I am looking for a replacement pram battery to install in my iMac Graphite DV Spec. Ed. 128mb 13.6gig with OS 9.0. I have the Apple part # 922-4028 but cannot find the comparison info to be able to purchase a Duracell, Rayovac, or other commercial battery. The installer wants to charge me $20.00 for the battery and it seems to me to be a bit steep.

Mac Batteries (http://www.mac-batteries.com/) lists it as the standard 3.6v 1/2 AA size lithium battery which fits most desktop macs. If your machine indeed takes this battery, I get them from Radio Shack when I need them.

RadioShack p/n 23-026 around $11. In the battery rack with the garage door opener and photo batteries. Also available from most online Mac specialist retailers.

Is it a powerbook? Have you tried to reset the power manager?
(to reset a powerbook's power manager, while computer is on, press and hold for several seconds: fn-control-shift-powerkey (will also shutdown or restart the computer))
