Why is my Powerbook G4 still consuming a lot of power (battery) while on sleep?

It seems to use 40min of battery life for 12 hours sleep.

It could be that your battery is shot. How much power does it lose in 12 hours if the Pismo is Shut Down?

In sleep mode some battery power is used to keep the contents of the RAM from going away. How much used depends on how much RAM you have installed. Also, depending on what you have plugged in to the USB or Firewire ports, the PB might not be going into full sleep.

When totally shut down, it almost does not use anything and the battery is working very fine when not in sleep mode.

RAM could be the issue, does the consumption varies among various producers?

What else could consume some power during sleep?
