Having transferred everything that was on my Powerbook G4 onto my new iMacG5 using the firewire method when first setting up the G5, I find I have an unwanted and irrelevant battery icon at the top of the finder. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it? many thanks!

Hold down Command key, click on battery icon and drag it out of the menu bar.
