Kernel Panic - sleep - GeForce
Steve Emerson - 11 August 2005
I'm getting a persistent Panic when coming out of Sleep. As yet, it has never happened when I've put the computer to sleep, only when it's gone to sleep via Energy Saving settings. And it doesn't *always* happen.
The Panic Log shows a near-identical log for each event. Here's the newest:

I have reset the PRAM to no avail.
Suggestions? Is there a reset button for the GeForce? Where is the GeForce in a Flat Panel iMac? Other ideas?

A friend of mine had kernel panic problems related to sleep. His solution had to do with his DSL modem. Here is what he said:
I found that turning the modem off before the computer goes to sleep prevents kernel panic.
But I also found the following solution:
From network preferences, set TCP/IP window to configure by "using dhcp with manual IP address";
set IP address to 192.168.1.10 ; set subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 According to what I remember, these are null numbers that prevent the computer from continually refreshing with the ISP.
