    I was wondering if I kept an iMac unplugged until Christmas, when I'll give it as a gift, if the PRAM battery will go dead. I just replaced it and I don't want to buy another. Will the iMac be damaged if the battery is removed until Christmas?

    The PRAM battery will not go dead if you unplug your iMac for four months. The iMac will not be damaged if you remove the battery for four months.
