Rebuilding laptop battery pack

Has anybody tried rebuilding the battery pack for the Powerbook G4 series? I've rebuild packs from windozz machines and can get the cells but is it worthwhile to do?

There's no difference in technology between the Apple packs and the Windows machine packs. So why not?
