This is a legacy guide for Power Manager v1, published 1997 – 2001, and is provided for reference only.
The latest guide is for Power Manager v5.10.4.

Power Manager – Installing

Power Manager consists of a control panel called “Power Manager” and an extension called “Power Manager Extension”.

Power Manager – Place the “Power Manager” control panel into your active System folder’s “Control Panels” folder.

Power Manager Extension – Place the “Power Manager Extension” extension into your active System folder’s “Extensions” folder.

NB Dragging both files onto the “System Folder” icon allows the System to automatically place the files in the correct locations.

You do not need to restart your Macintosh. Open the “Power Manager” control panel. The control panel will inform you that the extension has not been started up. Select “Start Up” to install the extension.

You are now ready to use Power Manager!

The Control Panel

Before configuring Power Manager it is beneficial to learn how to navigate using the control panel’s interface.
