First Run Help

Power Manager displays a help book page when launching for the first time. This page is shown only once per version. For new users, this help page explains where Power Manager is installed, how to access their schedule, and what to do next.

The welcome help book page is shown if:

• This is the first time this version of Power Manager has been run.
• The current user has the authority to create events.
• No events have been created.
• The welcome page has not been suppressed.

You can surpress the welcome page using the defaults tool.

Procedure 1.2. Disable the First Run Help

1. Issue the command:

defaults write uk.co.dssw.powermanager welcome.surpress true

Procedure 1.3. Restore the First Run Help

1. Issue the command

defaults write uk.co.dssw.powermanager welcome.surpress false
