UK, Europe - 23 August, 2010 - DssW, the leading developer of Mac energy saving software, today announced the release of Power Manager 4.0.1 for Mac OS X. This release includes bug fixes and minor refinements.
Power Manager is an automation and energy saving solution for Mac OS X. With Power Manager you can schedule your Mac to automatically:
- Start up and shut down;
- Log out, fast user switch, and restart;
- Launch applications, open documents, and run scripts.
“Power Manager 4.0.1 fixes a handful of bugs discovered since launch.” said Graham Miln, Director. “We are committed to ensuring Power Manager remains the best energy saving solution available.”
This release fixes a bug that could cause Power Manager’s supporting applications to crash. This release also fixes a bug that could cause sleep to be delayed by thirty seconds on some Macs.
Power Manager 4.0.1 introduces a new time zone API to allow connecting applications to request the Mac’s time zone. This allows applications to show schedule times in both local and remote time zones.
