Power Manager 4.1 - Energy Saving Software for Mac OS X

Hereford, UK - 29 June 2011 - DssW, the leading developer of Mac energy saving software, today announced the release of Power Manager 4.1 for Mac OS X. This release introduces a powerful new event editor and improvements to assist enterprise customers.

Power Manager is an energy saving solution for Mac OS X. Power Manager enables users to create sophisticated energy saving schedules and to automate time consuming tasks. Power Manager can power on a Mac, run a series of tasks, and power off the Mac without requiring any interaction.

Version 4.1 introduces a new event editor. The new editor has been designed from the ground up based on customer feedback and our experience creating the original editor for Power Manager Professional.

“Power Manager 4.1 will open up more energy saving opportunities for our customers.” said Graham Miln, Director. “With the new editor we can now cater to more situations for more customers.”

The new editor will greatly increase Power Manager’s energy saving value. A Schedule Assistant is available to help create events for common situations and these events can now be easily extended using the new editor.

The editor makes use of core Mac design principles including drag and drop, progressive disclosure of information, and multiple undo support.

Version 4.1 introduces improvements for enterprise customers. These include an improved self-signed certificate implementation, the ability to self-repair authorization rights, and the ability to install on non-booted system disks. These improvements will help customers deploying Power Manager across networks and large numbers of Macs.
