Power Manager 4.1.8 - Energy Saving Software for Mac OS X

Hereford, UK - 2 December, 2013 - DssW, the leading developer of Mac energy saving software, today announced the release of Power Manager and Power Manager Professional 4.1.8 for Mac OS X. This release adds new automation tasks for Uninterruptible Power Supplies and batteries.

Power Manager is an energy saving solution for Mac OS X. Power Manager enables users to create sophisticated energy saving schedules and to automate time-consuming tasks. Power Manager can power on a Mac, run a series of tasks, and power off the Mac without requiring any interaction.

New Schedule Assistant tasks are included to further simplify the creation of events triggered by a dropping battery level. Events can be triggered when an internal battery or external UPS battery level drops to a specified percentage remaining. When the battery level drops an Automator workflow or script can be performed, an application can be launched, or the Mac can be safely shut down.

Power Manager 4.1.8 restores the option for non-administrator users to authenticate for privileged operations.

Power Manager requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later.

This update is highly recommended and is free for users of Power Manager 4. Existing users can update using Power Manager’s automatic software update.
