Hi, I proudly bought a new powerbook g4 1,67Mhz a couple of days ago and I allready have a adapter problem (the adapter that came with the PBook). While using and loading it at the same time yesterday, the light just suddenly went of and the adapter stopped loading. I have tried other sockets and leaving the adapter out for a while but nothing. When I just plugged it in the light of the plug flickered for a few seconds but is dead again. Now I am sitting here with my brandnew Powerbook with an empty battery and a dodgy adapter!!!! WHAT THE F... ??? :?

It is under warranty. Call Apple tech support, or take it back where you bought it and get a new one.
Maybe the problem is in the adapter, and maybe it is in the computer.
No manufacturing process is 100% free of defects. You got a lemon. Better to discover it now than later.

What did Apple say when you reported the problem to them?
I think I can safely say that the AC adapter is faulty.
Just to check have you tried a different power lead, from the power socket to the adapter.
Since it is under warranty, they should replace the adapter. No questions asked!!!!
