I have a 6116CD with a dead battery ( battery shows less than 10mV).
Today, I removed the battery and examined it to find its type.
It is a Tadiran TL-5151 3.6V Lithium battery - rated for 0.70Ah
Now everywhere I look on the web the replacement battery for a 6116CD is a Tadiran TL-5101. Seems to be identical as the TL-5151 other than the Ah rating, which is 0.95.
My first question is: Is this the correct type of battery that I found already in the machine ( a TL-5151)?
And 2: Which should I get, the TL-5151 or the TL-5101?
My local Radio Shack only carries the TL-5101 ( for ~$13.00)
Thanks!

There are a number of batteries that will do in a pinch... some just last a little longer than others... TL-2150 ( or is that TL-1250 or whatever ) What you are looking for is 3.6 V Lithium of size 1/2AA. I buy them at SAYAL at Victoria Park and Gordon Baker (Toronto) for about $6 CANADIAN. They have a couple of leads that I just remove (spot welded onto the normal battery)... a wiggle removes the lead, and then a quick file job smooths the contact point.

Go for whatever battery is available fastest. The Radio Shack battery will work just fine and will get your Mac working in a few minutes rather than waiting for a battery to arrive in the mail.
The relative price makes a negligible difference and you can't predict which one will last longer.

Yes. Apple no doubt saves itself a nickel a machine by getting the lower-capacity battery, which is fine provided it lasts longer than the warrantee period.
