Yes, it's my day for 'spamming' the group with problems...<g> As you know I
have a 2-month-old MBP. I love it. It's my friend, it is...However, it seems to have developed an intermittent battery issue. I have the battery icon displayed on the menu bar along with the charge time/time until it needs rejuicing.
However, about 50% of the time, it sits at 'calculating' and never actually displays the time. For example, if I've fully charged it, and then take it downstairs and have it on battery power; instead of the battery icon showing a gradual decrease as the battery runs down, it'll stay stuck at the 'fully charged' icon (i.e. picture of a plug) and never calculate the time. If I boot from battery, there's no problem.
Any clues, folks..?
Cheers
Sarah

No help I'm afraid, but this used to happen occasionally on my Powerbook 12". Didn't seem to affect the actual battery life, just the display. Was annoying but I lived with it.
There's probably a 'reset the PMU' fix somewhere lurking in Apple's knowledge base. I'm sure they've got something about calibrating batteries too.
Cheers, Ian
