have a new bti battery in my ibook clamshell running Panther, it does not charge properly, starts to charge then stops, the original Apple battery will charge properly but is old and only gives an hour or so time
anything I can try to fix this, zapped pram, no go, have not reset P.Manager as the other battery charges ok
thanks

IÀve had bad luck with BTI batteries. See if you can get a legitimate Apple battery from the Apple store.

I've heard good things about Madson Line batteries. Supposed greater capacity than original.

I've had 2 BTI batteries go bad in my wife's iBook. If I could find the receipts I'd send them back to BTI, they're supposed to have a 1 year warranty. (But of course I can't find the receipt.)
