Hi folks, My older firewire Clamshell iBook (OS 9.2.2) no longer stays asleep when the lid is closed. The hard drive seems to cycle between sleep and activity every couple seconds. Is this apparent hardware problem easily repaired?
Many thanks in advance!
Have you checked to see that the keyboard is seated all the way and that nothing is hitting the keys when you shut it? Also, do you have any peripherals connected to it?

Phyllis . . . Thanks for the tip that solved the problem. Somehow one of the tabs that fasten the keyboard had come unlocked. When that was fixed, the sleep/wake cycling stopped! I'm embarrassed I didn't think of looking at the keyboard myself.
