The Shutdown option in Energy Saver on my PowerBook G4 17" is grayed out. This happened before and then stopped. Now, it is back again. I suspect some app such as Tiger Cache Cleaner is messing with it but have no clue.
Help!
TIA

Do you mean in System Preferences > Energy Saver > Schedule? If so, the "Shut Down" menu will appear grey (disabled) until you:
* unlock the Energy Saver panel with administrator credentials
* check the checkbox next to the "Shut Down" menu in the Schedule sheet
Thanks but, yes, I am the administrator, the ES panel is unlocked but "Schedule" has Start Up settable but Shut Down disabled.

Oops! Problem solved. I locked and then unlocked the ES panel and was able to use Shut Down.
LOL! Whatever works!
Thanks.
