G4 Cube running 9.1: Sleep won't stay asleep

Hello:

A friend has a 3-month old G4 Cube running 9.1. A few days ago, the Sleep function stopped working properly. It shuts down but in less than a minute starts up again. Preferences are properly set and a new system/preferences file has been generated. Makes no difference. Any suggestion about fixing this glitch would be much appreciated.

My wife had that problem .. Her iMac was waking up every time the phone rang. A mystery, until I checked the Advanced settings on the energy saver - it was checking for an incoming fax or modem conection. If you're not connected to a phone line, ignore this suggestion.
