Hardware: iBook g4 800mhz w/AirPort Extreme Software: OS X 10.4 (latest updates)
This is a weird issue that started recently (but can't be attributed to a particular OS update or other event):
WiFi becomes almost unusable when on battery power. I've checked system preferences and set everything up to maximize performance while on battery power. Still no dice. The connection strength/quality still looks good and a ping doesn't reflect any major connection problems. Yet when browsing any site the performance is horrible. It tightens right back up if I plug into AC power.
I don't even know where to start looking. Software? Hardware? Unfortunately I do not have a spare AirPort card to try. Can anybody help me out here?
Thanks, Brian

That's a weird problem. If there's an Apple store near you, perhaps you can find a solution by bringing your iBook there to ask a Mac Genius for assistance.
