Perhaps someone can offer some suggestions. I recently updated my clamshell G3 iBook to 9.2.1 from 9.0. Following the update it now takes a seemingly long time for the sytem to wake up. When the system is activated I get a blank blue screen, with no audible disk activity. After a delay of about 30 seconds the system wakes up and works normally. It used to take just a few seconds to wake up before the update.
I did a similar upgrade to my rev. B iMac, and I don't have the same problem.
My iBook only has 64Mb of memory, but works fine for what I need. Would adding more memory speed things up? I'm at a loss.

IME this is usually a network thing, where the computer is looking for some kind of server or bringing File Sharing back on line or something, and timing out when it can't find the network or the server or whatever. Check File Sharing, Energy Saver, AppleTalk settings, that sort of thing
- anything where the computer would be trying to re-establish network connectivity as it wakes up.
