Dear All
I bought a new battery for my white/grey iBook G3 600MHz a few months back, and although I'm getting good performance from it in terms of time (approx 3 hours) the battery meter in the menu bar is hopelessly inaccurate
I've tried "calibration" (i.e. full charge, then run till flat - that's my understanding of the process) and I've also tried resetting the PMU but to no avail.
The machine goes into "flat battery sleep" when the meter is saying 30% charge left, no warnings given. I've tried slim battery meter which can give you a warning at 25% charge left but that's still too late for this system.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Julian

They suggest running flat, full charge, run to 50 % and then allow to rest (off) for a few hours at that level as well.
