Hello everybody
Last week on holiday (in Robin Hoods Bay, North Yorkshire, ace!)
My daughter asked a seemingly obvious question
"Can you get a cheap charger for the iPod so you dont have to plug it into a computer?"
Thanks!

Cheap'ish, yes. There's various different kinds, ebay is stuffed to the gills with them. I have a ye olde firewire one from Griffin, bought for a 1st Gen iPod and now used with the iPod Photo via a firewire to dock converter.
Cheers, Ian

There are also chargers for use with car cigarette lighter sockets. (Does anyone use those to light cigarettes nowadays?)
Cheers,
Chris

Only cigars. It's those Cuban girls' thighs that do it.

Depends on your/her definition of 'cheap'. I have a Gear4 World Tour 2, which I purchased for £20 directly from the Gear4 Store (< http://www.gear4.com/product_detail.php?products_id=40>). Does exactly what it says on the tin - and it has the added bonus of being able to charge any other USB device you care to throw at it.
The only 'con' is that the iPod adapter plugs in to the main unit via a male USB connector. It's only about 1" square and it would be quite easy to lose it.
