Hi all
I am just wondering what everyone's experiences with the iPod Classic in terms of battery life when viewing video. The Apple website says it is up to 5 hours and if that is the case it should allow me to watch at least 2 movies while flying from SFO to HNL.

I don't have any specific numbers I can give-- because the battery on mine lasts so long that it's never been an issue. I'm inclined to think 5 hours is a low estimate. This is on the 160GB model, which I believe has a larger battery than the 80GB model.

This is a Mac software group, not an iPod group.
Try posting your query at rec.media.players.portable.ipod, or try this web forum at Apple Discussions, that deals specifically with the iPod Classic:

I've got a 160 Gig Classic and I was able to watch a couple of hours of video on a flight from Tampa to Saskatoon a few months ago with juice to spare.

No, I'm just sick and tired of being crapped on for trying. Screw it.
