for the holidays i am headed to the uk for travel. My iBook will be happily traveling with me! but i cannot find a power converter to charge my iBook, and i need a converter, not an adapter. Apple sells an adapter but it does not convert the volts so i cant charge my iBook, probably blow out the logic board or something. Can anyone help
~.:Happy Holidays:.~
Thank you!

Apple has, for many years, supplied their products with power supplies compatible with almost any geographic location. My PowerBook's supply is rated for: Input Volts: 100-240 input Hz: 50-60
Buy a generic wall-plug converter kit for $5, or buy Apple's expensive adapter, and enjoy your holiday.

I'm a UK resident happily using a Powerbook and power supply purchased in the US. Buy a simple plug converter somewhere. They are on sale at airports, but will be cheaper at Kmart.

You only need the adaptor, definitely not the coverter. It's been the case since at least late 1993, when I used my PowerBook 145b (don't laugh, it was a gem of its time) in US and Ireland with the same power supply.
