I just got an external Firewire hard drive.
Now, my Mac Pro seems to fall asleep very hard. Or, perhaps a better word, is a "deep sleep".
I thought it "slept" before, but right now it take either a keyboard event or moving the mouse really hard to wake it up, and that wasn't what it did before.
This isn't really a problem per se, except now I can't print to my printer from my laptop (the printer is connected to the Mac Pro). When the Mac is fast asleep, the laptop just searches and searches and can not find the printer.
Is there a way to get the Mac to wake up when I try to print to it? Was I just in screen saver mode before (machine is so quiet, I hardly know it's on).
Thanx for any tips.
Regards,
Will Hartung

Have you installed iWake?
