Hi All,

The board cooling fan on my G4 Quicksilver MO8493 just flaked. The blades move forward after a few minutes of running and starts rubbing against the guard. IÀm having trouble finding a replacement (Verax, Smartcooler, etc,) that specifically says it compatible with my Model. Am I looking for a more generic piece? Any suggestions appreciated. -M

In the past, I found cooling fans fairly generic. You need to measure the spacing on the mounting screws and get the power specs off the label of your old fan, then check online and local electronics sources for a fan with matching specs. I have a local electronics reseller who has a myriad of cooling fans that has always done me well. E-mail me if you don't come up with what you need.
