Will MacOS X go sleep when the SETI@redacted.invalid screensaver is running?
I would try it but I don't want to find out that it didn't. Also, somebody might know by chance.
Howdy!

Nothing else running SETI@redacted.invalid does. More to the point - why would
you WANT it to?
If you want your PC to sleep, disable background apps such as
SETI@redacted.invalid . Or don't worry about not sleeping.

Well, I currently have the normal OS X screensaver protect my screen when I leave the computer and then it goes to sleep after half an hour or so.

I don't want the machine to make noise during the night.
The Mac should go to sleep with Seti running just like it would if any other application was open at the time.

Maybe. I have three Macs, all of which run SETI@redacted.invalid One runs it just fine without any problems going to sleep. Another doesn't run it well at all. The third runs it fine some of the time, but not others. Try it for yourself and see how it works with your Mac configuration.
