Hi all,
I was told that the Mac PowerBook G4 does wake up from standby mode almost instantiously since the RAM is not cashed to disk and everything is put into a sleep mode, but the RAM will always be refreshed by battery current.
How much is the battery consumption e.g. of a PowerBook G4, 15", 1 GHz, with 1 GB of RAM?
Are all the current PowerBooks / iBooks working the same here?
Kind regards Martin

Sort of but not quite correct. The RAM is powered by the battery, but it does not need to be refreshed. It's static, and draws a minimal amount of power, nowhere near as much as when it's on.

I've never pushed mine to the limit, but I have had it sleeping on battery power for as long as a couple of days with no trouble.

I think so.
