In the past, I've seen numerous posts about machines that fail to wake from sleep. I never read them because I never experienced that problem. Well, you guessed it: I now have that problem with my Lombard.
It started after I had done some routine (OS 9.1) maintenance. I cleaned up the directories with Disk Warrior, then did the full battery of tests with TTP (passed all) and finally, a desktop rebuild.
Rather frequently now, I have to do a Cmd-Ctrl restart because the machine will not wake up.
Is there a standard diagnosis/fix for this problem? TIA.

Try a reset of the power manager.
