Probably the PRAM battery is finally gone. It's an easy replacement. m.

Try resetting the PMU. This is done differently on different PB models. Put "reset PMU" in the search box at Apple's support site and you'll get an article explaining how to do it on various models.
You may need to replace the logic board battery - the Wallstreet won't wake up with a dead PRAM battery.

Press and hold down the power button. The Pismo will show some sign of life for a second and go silent again. The PMU has been reset. Press once to see if it will now boot.

Most likely.

Yes my pismo boot again .... I have tried this But I had to go further in investigation because one time it refuses to boot and one other it did .... As I have two pismos here (one is G4 600 upgraded and this is the faulty one) ... I removed all the main parts from it to the other .... making some kind of exchnage between both machines; hard drives, processors because I needed to retriove some important mails
Then both machines booted without any problems ...; I worked with the G4 upgraded pismo all the day and booted successfully more than ten times ... After that I tried to put back all the "genuine components" to the corresponding computer .... and miracle everything worked like before .... I will see if I can continue to boot again and again ...
And yes I have tried to reset the PMU ... soi it seems to work again

I don't think this the problem because I replaced both in both pismos last year ...
Another problem I have is that my wireless mouse refuse sometimes to work correctly on the pismo, sometimes it looses control;
- no reaction on elements when clicking
- crossing above the dock doesn't magnify it as usual
- being in the center of the desktop opens spotlight
- ..... very strange behaviour
Do you think there is some related problem with this ?
Anyway thanks for your advices my friends
Yours
Jo

When you push down the daughterboard into place, if it isn't fully seated, the computer won't start up. So it may be that swapping components simply caused you to reseat everything properly. m.
