Is there an extension cable available for the power connecter on an Apple cinema display? I mean the connecter that comes down from the joint DVI/USB/firewire/power bit, not the plug going to the converter itself.
Now that I'm using my laptop exclusively, I find myself operating in desktop replacement mode quite a lot. Desktop replacement mode consists of plugging in an external 20", putting the laptop on an iCurve for use as a secondary display, connecting USB and Firewire cables to it (the cables go to hubs) and finally plugging in the speakers. A moment's faff, but basically fine.
The trouble is that I'm finding it difficult to place the 20" display's power converter. I'd like to put it in the floor, but there's not enough length on the power connector to allow me to plug in the DVI/USB/fIrewire on the laptop whilst letting the power drop about a metre or so to the ground. Consequently this rather unsightly power block sits on my desk when it really should be somewhere else.
Ideas? I suppose I could go the other way and get USB extenders, firewire extenders and DVI extenders (do they exist?) but it seems silly to fix the other three cables when it's the power that's really got the problem.

Gah. Cord. Power -cord-, not card. Fixed the subject above.

Not quite what you asked for, but if you desk is more Ikea than Chippendale, you could get some of those velcro pads and stick the brick to the underside of the desk.
