Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I remember seeing an add somewhere for a replacement battery for 15 inch powerbook G4s that was not made by apple and would give about 10% more time per charge. Does anyone know who is making this? I can't for the life of me remember the name of company nor can I remember the web site I saw it on.
Thanks,
Andy

It made by Newer Technology and sold by Other World Computing.

Just got one and, thusfar, not pleased. It does not function as having any more run-time than the standard issue battery----actually less than my other replacement. I've cycled the battery twice (and according to the Apple "Battery Calibration" doc)
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86284
It DID increase from the first charge to the second, and perhaps it needs more "training". We'll see.

I bought a regular "newer" Ti battery a month or so ago...and, let me tell you: Apple really fixed that sucker. Battery life is phenomenal.

How long is "phenomenal", roughly? Just wondering. Even though I've managed to partially revive my old battery, it might be worth an upgrade to get "phenomenal" battery life.

I'm getting 3:40 on the "newer" cica July2003 Apple battery (regular energy "saver" settings.) compared to 2:45 on the Sept 2002 original one, and now but 1:30 on "revived" year-and-a-half old original original that used to be 2:45.
