Reproducible sleep-wake problem

Sleep and wake has never been a problem except under one condition: If I use up the battery while watching a DVD.

  1. Unplug the AC and watch DVDs until the system shuts down.
  2. Plug in the AC. The system will not wake up.

I have to unplug the AC and remove the battery for a minute or two to get it to wake up again, whereupon the movie starts playing right where it left off.

Anyone see this?

try resetting the PMU (power management unit) - on a poewrbook I am not sure how to do this - check Apple's web site for directions - this often solves sleep problems
