My 400 MHz TiPB loses more than 15% of its battery energy overnight while sleeping. Is this a normal rate of loss? Seems a bit excessive -- much more than my iBook. A few nights of this and I discover that it's dead the next time I open it up.

Are you running OS X? Early OS X slaughtered my TiBook's battery even while 'asleep'. I could leave it asleep for less than 24 hours and it would be dead.
The current version does not seem to exhibit this problem.
Whether you're running OS X or not, 15% seems a little excessive. My TiBook now munches through about 7-8% if left asleep for 12 hours.

Yes, 10.1.1. I agree it seems excessive. Could be a bad battery? I understand that the latest TiPBs have better power-conversion features.
