I am trying to use a Linux system to send a wake-on-lan packet to a powerbook that's running MacOS 10.3.x. The command I am using is
ether-wake -D -i eth0 00:30:65:F9:C1:62
So far, it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

I use WakeOnLan, so I'm not familiar with ether-wake but: Does the PoserBook support wake-on-lan? If so, is the option enabled in the Energy Saver "Options" panel? Is the lid of the PowerBook open or does it have an external monitor and keyboard attached?
